Saving money on shower gel

Firstly thank you for the messages regarding the RSPCA, they finally got back to me and have concluded that yes someone must have been messing around, i said they are welcome to come and check the house for birds if they wish but they insisted that wont be necessary

thank good for that
they also said there was no name as to who reported it, so i still have no idea!

apparently the inspector who came and left the card had also put on the system that it seemed unlikely the right address as my house looked far too tidy from the outside

lol i had to snort at that
even though the bush needs extreme trimming and there were leaves all outside the front door oops but im happy that they agree i have done nothing wrong

phew

****

So i used to buy our shower gels from one of the pound stores as i figures £1 or 99p was good value for some shower gel compared to some store own brands costing around the same, 89, 99p mark i just used to grab them from Poundland

Until i was in Asda one day and saw there brand of shower gel 250ml for 39p a bottle

hmmm

i purchased some and can honestly say they smell amazing and clean you just the same

since spotting these and stocking up they can be tricky to find, just like anything else that's good value you will find them on the bottom shelf usually tucked away
but worth a look and definitely worth a purchase
even two bottles amounting to 500ml is worth  the 78p and still cheaper than Poundland

winner
and i shall be buying these from now on and saving the pennies in return

they come in several scents and they even do a 2 in 1 shower gel and shampoo - double bargain!

The nourish and delight one i use to fill up the hand wash and smells lovely

If you see them give them a go, these will be permanent in our house and ive had no complaints from fussy teenager or the OH

Sammie xx

  1. Not everything is cheaper in Poundland, you have to know your prices, I have seen this in Asda, before they bought this range in they cleared out there old design/stock and bought a load of them for 20p each. I think I shall stock up on these ones at that price, everything is going up we have to take advantage of these sort of bargains don't we. How is your stock pile coming along ? xx

  2. Glad the RSPCA got back to you, hope it's the last time.

I've recently dropped down to a much cheaper shower gel. I paid £1.20 for 500ml so not bargain basement price (we don't have an Asda) but I've had loads of compliments about the fragrance and it doesn't dry my skin so I can't complain!

  3. I've used that shower gel and it's fine, but be careful as it tends to come out a bit too easily and you can end up using far more than you need and use it up quicker. X

  4. We're no longer fussy about what shower gel/liquid hand soap we use, so long as they're not too watery and runny. As you say, they do the same job!

  5. Many years ago my now ex husband was reported for keeping his ferrets in a poor condition. The RSCPA chap called and actually reported back that he had never seen such well looked after ferrets. My ex had dug up the entire back lawn and laid a warren of pipes exiting into and through little hutches in various pounts in the garden. He only had to tap the cage door in the shed (which he had turned into a multi roomed ferret home) and three ferrets would come hurtling out from the tube. They were lovely friendly little things too. I will give the Asda shower gel a try next time I need some.
